Why Baseline Labs Matter
Without baseline measurements, you cannot objectively assess whether a peptide protocol is working. A physician who prescribes without baseline labs is practicing subjectively โ relying entirely on patient-reported outcomes with no objective measure of response. Baseline labs also identify pre-existing conditions that might affect protocol design or safety.
For GH Secretagogue Protocols (Sermorelin, CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin)
- IGF-1: The primary marker of GH axis activity. Essential baseline and monitoring marker.
- Fasting glucose and HbA1c: GH can affect insulin sensitivity.
- Comprehensive metabolic panel: Kidney and liver function baseline.
- Complete hormone panel: Testosterone, estrogen, thyroid (TSH, free T3/T4), cortisol.
- CBC (complete blood count): General health baseline.
For Recovery Protocols (BPC-157, TB-500)
- Comprehensive metabolic panel: Baseline kidney and liver function.
- CBC: General health baseline.
- Inflammatory markers (CRP, ESR): Useful baseline for injury-related protocols.
For Longevity Protocols
- All of the above plus:
- Biological age markers: Some physicians include telomere length testing, advanced lipid panels, or specialized longevity biomarker panels.
- NAD+ levels: If NAD+ is part of the protocol.
How My Body Labs Handles Labs
Our physician network requires appropriate baseline testing before initiating protocols. We can facilitate lab orders through our platform or work with labs you’ve recently had done through your primary care physician. Lab review is included in the physician consultation fee โ not a separate charge.
